Our Septoplasty Technique

General Anesthesia

Rhinoplasty is performed under general anesthesia to ensure that the patient is comfortable and immobile during this delicate procedure. Our experienced anesthesiologist monitors all vital signs and ensures maximum safety.

Incisions

Incisions are made inside the nostrils and at the base of the nose between the nostrils to access the underlying cartilage and bone. The skin is lifted to expose the framework.

Cartilage Sculpting

The main goal of rhinoplasty is to remove or rearrange cartilage to achieve the desired shape. Dr. Sabry sculpts different areas, such as the bridge, tip, nostrils, or septum, using advanced surgical techniques – trimming, scoring, or grafting.

Skin Redraping

Once the structure is modified, the nasal skin is laid back over the new framework. Excess tissue is trimmed as needed.

Closing Incisions

The incisions inside the nose and at the base between the nostrils are carefully sutured for proper healing. Our facial plastic surgeon ensures perfect wound closure in this area.

Splint Application

After sealing the incisions, an external and/or internal splint is applied over the nose. This device helps maintain the new nasal contours as the skin heals over the freshly modified cartilage and bone framework. The splint stabilizes the nose for 1-2 weeks following the operation.
