Dr. M. Zakir Sabry is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon in NYC with extensive training in general, plastic, and craniofacial surgery. His background in academic and reconstructive surgery enables him to focus on both appearance and function, with results that last. His specialties include rhinoplasty, neck lift, breast reduction, breast revision with explant, tummy tuck, and more.
Here at Murray Hill Plastic Surgery, the phrase “patient first” is our motto because Dr. Sabry has built our practice on the founding principles of thoughtful decision-making, conservative surgical judgment, and genuine, personalized care.
A Thoughtful & Ethical Approach to Aesthetic and Reconstructive Care
Plastic surgery starts with understanding why you are seeking change and whether a specific treatment truly makes sense for you. We are here to support you throughout your journey. Our mission is to guide you step-by-step in exploring procedures and helping you make the right decision.
Dr. Sabry is known for listening, asking the right questions, and fully exploring your options. If a procedure is not appropriate or a more conservative approach is likely to yield better results, he will tell you. His philosophy is simple: do what serves the patient, not what adds the most intervention.
Many patients are surprised, and often relieved, by how frequently Dr. Sabry advises against surgery when the timing, expectations, or anatomy are not right. That level of honesty is central to the trust we build with every patient.
This approach leads to high levels of patient satisfaction and natural, well-balanced results that hold up over time.
I’m dedicated to excellence because of my years of learning, my strong focus on patient care, and my deep passion for restoring beauty and function.

Your Care, Personally Guided by Dr. Sabry
One of the biggest differences patients notice at Murray Hill is how involved the surgeon is throughout their care. From your first consultation, you will meet directly with Dr. Sabry. There are no hand-offs and no rushed visits. Most patients see him more than once before surgery, and every post-operative appointment is handled personally. This consistency allows for better communication, better planning, and better outcomes.
Care continues well beyond the procedure itself as patients will receive direct follow-up calls, regular check-ins, and straightforward access to the team. When concerns come up, Dr. Sabry is available and responsive, because feeling supported is an essential part of quality care.

A Conversation with Dr. Sabry
Why or how did you decide on a career in medicine? What about Aesthetics?
The inspiration largely came from my mother very early on, perhaps in middle school, and the idea was to help people. Plastic surgery came pretty late in my training when I realized that “restoring form and function” can be life changing.
What do you find fulfilling about your work?
Making a difference in someone else’s life through both reconstructive and cosmetic surgery.
How have your training and experiences prepared you to guide patients through their aesthetic journeys?
I have spent 9 years training. I am a fully trained general surgeon and a plastic surgeon with a fellowship in craniofacial surgery. The extensive training and a career that began in academia is what gives me more confidence, skillset, and greater empathy in taking care of my patients.
What drew you to both reconstructive and aesthetic surgery?
My biggest fear in life was being bored in my professional career. While I do a lot of reconstructive surgery with residents at the hospital (I am an Assistant Professor with NYMC), in my private practice, I enjoy performing rhinoplasty, neck lifts, brow lifts, and breast surgery, particularly breast reduction and revision cases.
What is your office like?
Our office is modern and equipped with state-of-the-art technology, but it’s intentionally designed to feel comfortable, calm, and welcoming. Patients often comment that it feels more like a private medical suite than a typical clinical setting, which helps put them at ease from the moment they arrive.
Where do you conduct surgery?
All surgeries are performed in our on-site QUAD-A accredited operating room. This allows for the highest safety standards while offering the convenience, privacy, and continuity of care that come with having everything under one roof.
